Picture Perfect

We have exciting news! After months and months of trying to figure it out, we've finally been able to secure our illustrator! I'm beyond excited because this means that we can finally set a date for the release of our first book, Ahmad and Nia and the Mistake of the Century. What a way to start the New Year!

It was a long time coming. But I'm happy I waited it out. I really wanted a certain aesthetic for the book and it was extremely important that we employed a woman of color to illustrate the book. By doing so, it allows us to live out our mission just a little more. I can't believe how blessed we've been to come as far as we have. I can't wait to see how much more we can accomplish in the new year. Six months down, so many more to go.

Actually, let's talk about the fact that One in A Million Publishing has officially been around for 6 months. The company is just a baby and yet, every milestone brings about a high level of gratitude and fascination. Like I can't believe we've actually made it to the 6 month mark. Our community is growing, we're one step closer to building out the dream. We're working our way through. There is so much more we can accomplish. One thing I'm working on is investing more time and effort into the company. Because my community deserves it . My community needs it. I can't wait to find the people who continue to support this dream.
